Can I bring my baby?
Of course! Most of our moms bring their babies but there are certainly a few that don't. We want you to do what makes you feel comfortable.
Do all the mothers know each other?
Not at all. The primary purpose of the New Mommies Network is to provide brand-new mothers with the opportunity to meet mommies like themselves. Many of our mothers come to the events the first time alone but always leave with new friends.
I haven't taken my baby out anywhere yet. Is my baby too young?
Come out when you are ready. We've had babies just a few days old attend.
Is there a membership fee?
No. The New Mommies Network is a "pay as you go" organization! You pay only for the events you choose to attend.
Do I just show up?
We do require reservations since seating is limited. We want everyone to be comfortable.
Do I pre-pay?
No. You pay at the door.
What if I need to cancel?
If you do need to cancel, please do so with as much notice as possible so that we may give your reservation to someone else.
Is there room for strollers?
Yes. We hold our events in restaurants that are stroller-friendly and that provide ample space.
Are high chairs available?
Most restaurants do provide them. Though, if you do need a high chair, we recommend that you check availability when making your reservation.
Will there be a vegetarian choice on the menu for me?
Always!
Can I nurse my baby?
Absolutely. We usually have a private room or area, and you can be assured that there will be many nursing moms at our events.
Are new dads welcome?
Of course.
Who else can attend?
Your mom, mother-in-law or sister is welcome to attend. We ask, though, that you don't bring your caregiver unless you have a special situation.
Why aren't nannies allowed?
We've created a place where moms could meet moms. There are plenty of other activities in New York City which allow caregivers.
What do parents of multiples do?
This is a nanny exception. You may bring your caregiver, but we ask that you pay for her if she eats.
Is there an expiration date on gift certificates?
